Kelly Pierce
I’m Kelly! Matt is my husband and we work on projects together. I was born in Hawaii to a military family and we lived in Nebraska, Pennsylvania, and Virginia before finally settling down in the Texas Hill Country when I was in Middle School. Before starting Route Three Productions I worked in the financial industry for 10 years. Matt and I currently live outside of San Antonio, Texas. I am a proud graduate of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi where I earned my degree in Economics. Outside of photography and the business I do enjoy crochet and making all sorts of blankets and random stuff. I do like movies and television! In fact, Matt and I are both avid Formula 1 racing fans and we are addicted to the BBC series “Call The Midwife.” Oh, and I am an avid reader!
Matt Pierce
It is true. I am the more serious one. I come from a rural background and was raised in Floresville, Texas before leaving to become a journalist and news producer. I can honestly say that before I met Kelly, I had never really intended on ever living here in Texas again despite how much I love it. I’ve had a great career in the media industry and have gotten to experience some really cool stuff. Being a journalist and producer I have had the chance to meet and make friends with some really cool people from very notable personalities to farmers. Media is what I do and I love it. I have written several books, publish a pretty popular blog and podcast, and I have my own little world over on YouTube. I still do journalism and write for Insider News and several other media outlets. I’ve produced content for Vice News, The Daily Beast and reported for BBC Radio Wales and many other BBC outlets. In what little free time I have, I tutor adult English learners and I provide skills coaching to help them prepare for their life in North America and adapt to the American culture. My hobbies are, as Kelly mentioned, Formula One racing and Indy Car. I am also a big soccer fan.
